Congratulations on being nominated for a BAFTA!
“Oh stop! Let’s leave it there, that’s good. Thank you, thank you very much.”
How does it feel?
“It feels very, very tingly. The tingle starts very much near the ankles and works its way up into the kneecaps and then slowly but surely towards the crown jewels and then up into the brain. That’s usually how thoughts work in my body anyway – they go the opposite way.”
If you’re feeling like that now, how will you feel at the ceremony?
“Oh God. You know the way they say a pig can orgasm for half an hour? That’s probably going to be me on the red carpet, writhing around, just causing havoc. Causing a scene down there on Park Lane or wherever it is.”
How are you rating your chances – do you think you’ve got it in the bag?
“Very much I will have it in a bag at one point, because I’m going to steal it even if I don’t win it. No, I honestly don’t care if I win. A nomination is lovely, and that sounds like a big fat cliché but it’s true. When you hear news of the nomination, it feels like a victory in itself, so I’m happy with that. If I win it’ll be a nice bonus for the evening, you know? But we’re all together – we’re one big Misfits collaboration.”

ArticlesThe blossoming romance between two of our brightest acting talents is still going strong, the Diary can reveal.
Killing Bono star Robert Sheehan and RAW actress Charlene McKenna — who are keen to keep their new-found love out of the limelight — were spotted out and about together this week.
The high-profile pair have been spending plenty of time together since the Monaghan beauty wrapped filming on her latest production Jump at the end of last month.
Sheehan, who has confirmed he is leaving hit E4 supernatural series Misfits in order to concentrate on his movie career, is a regular visitor to Charlene’s Ranelagh pad and the couple have enjoyed a number of low-key outings to local hotspots in the past few weeks.
“Everything’s going great between them. They’ve been spending as much time as possible together before things get hectic for them again with filming commitments over the summer,” said an insider.

I for one won’t be watching the third series.
If you’re a Misfits fan you might want to sit down before you read this latest piece of news… Nathan, the funniest and fittest Misfit, won’t appear in a new online film or the upcoming third series. Nooooooo. We think E4 needs to set up a special helpline for distraught fans. Or at least send us a signed photo of Robert Sheehan to make us feel better.
Obviously we’re very happy that the ace, darkly comic drama is coming back to our screens but it won’t be the same without Nathan. A special online edition of Misfits is being filmed that will introduce a new character called Rudy to the group of superheroes, and it will also explain the demise of Nathan. Sob! In the film, the gang will travel to Las Vegas, a trip that will end in disaster for Nathan. Double sob!
The show’s creator Howard Overman commented, “It’s great to be launching the third series of Misfits with an online film which introduces our new character Rudy, as well as saying goodbye to Nathan.”
While Channel 4’s drama commissioning editor Robert Wulff-Cochrane said, ” We’re all very excited about the return for a third series, as well as kicking off with a groundbreaking online film. Howard Overman has created some more brilliantly surprising and original storylines and fans can rest assured that series three will begin in a way no-one else could possibly imagine.”
We just hope this Rudy character is just as brilliant as Nathan.
